A Letter From the Owner: Get to Know Phil

My name is Phillip Blankenship, but you can call me Phil. I’m excited to get to know you, and here are some friendly facts about me:

I would have been 4th generation Coloradoan (since my mother’s side of the family moved here from Wales in the early 1850’s to mine for gold and silver), but my mom fell in love with a farm boy from the south and I was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Hence my nickname “Philbilly”. In 1979, I moved to Colorado when I was 9, so it was Colorado where I began to meet life-long friends and learned to ski.

I’m a father of 2 – 1 boy, 1 girl – and a grandfather of 5 – 3 boys, 2 girls. I have volunteered for our Vets, the National Western Stock Show, and a Fire Department in Deer Trail Co. for 4 years. I snow shovel my neighbors driveways when I can, and I invite them over for a beer or two now and again. Other than that I keep to myself and mind my own business – the old Colorado way!

I’m pretty simple and straight forward when it comes to my home remodeling business. I don’t like high pressure sales. It just doesn’t suit me. There is enough work out there for everyone and more to life than money anyway, so why try to talk my customers into anything? I’m not a salesman, I’m a builder, and I’m a member of the community. I’ve had all of my success by following the same three rules: 1) Listen to my clients and their needs. 2) Find the solutions to customize the results for them. 3) Follow through and keep my word, no matter what.
